About the club
Carey Alpine Club is an all-season club with a lodge located at Parallel Street, Falls Creek, next to the Halley’s Comet chairlift (formerly Falls Express).
We are a family-friendly, sociable and affordable club whose members love the adventures offered in the alpine environment all year round.
The Club aims to support members involvement in alpine activities with high quality accommodation and an active and healthy club membership.
We do this by:
- continually improving the lodge
- maintaining a sound financial base for the long-term development of the club and its facilities
- having a limited but strong membership base with a continuing flow of active members to utilise club facilities and ensure the long-term viability of the club.
The Club is managed by a Committee of Management who are elected from the membership at the Annual General Meeting.
Did you know?
Started in 1962, the Club was founded by Carey Grammar School “old boys” and Members once needed to have some connection to the school.
The Club now has no formal association with the school, but in recognition of its origins we encourage students and former students of the School and their families to visit the lodge and become members of the Club.
